Job Summary

The Office of Admissions and Recruitment at Fort Valley State University is seeking a Director of Enrollment Management Systems will work with FVSU's admissions and financial aid leadership to manage the CRM systems and technology utilized to recruit and enroll students.

As a member of the Enrollment Management Team, the Director of Enrollment Management Systems will also work directly with third party vendors to ensure all technology utilized by the division is operating under leadership's vision and strategies. The Director of Enrollment Management Systems will participate in recruitment activities on campus including but not limited to Open House and Orientation Sessions. In addition, this position should be knowledgeable of basic admission and financial aid processes in order to properly manage the technology workflow.

Major Duties

The primary job duties and responsibilities consist of:

  • Nurture relationships with third party vendors supplying CRM and technology systems utilized by Admissions and Financial Aid offices.
  • Create a strategic plan to evaluate and improve synergy between technology utilized in the division, including but not limited to Axiom, Target X, and CampusLogic.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to system and/or processing errors
  • Provide data reports to Enrollment Management leadership and vendors
  • Maintain regular meetings with enrollment management leadership, including Executive Director of Admissions and Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
  • Integrate existing technology with university's strategic plans and vision.
  • Provide feedback on the success and value of third-party software and technology.
  • Compile, assess and interpret enrollment data, event outcomes, recruitment trends, student engagement trends, and regularly report findings to senior leadership.
  • Proactively address the data and process needs for Admissions and Financial Aid offices.
  • Attend on campus Admissions events, including Open House.
  • Create an annual continuous improvement plan for data analysis and processes.
  • Train new employees on best practices for Target X.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Knowledge Required by the Position

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working directly with a CRM system in higher education.
  • Excellent customer service, attention to detail, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • SQL, SAS, or PSQL experience preferred
  • Be self-motivated and results/goal driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant student prospect information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Experience interpreting data from admissions, financial aid, and registration and student finance modules to forecast, analyze, evaluate and provide continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of enrollment management best practices.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems, prioritize time according to tasks, initiate and implement projects independently.

Supervisory Controls

The Director of Enrollment Management Systems will supervise the three Enrollment Associate positions in the Office of Recruitment & Admissions

Working conditions

  • May be required to work beyond regular work hours (evenings and weekends) on few occasions.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and assemble/disassemble display materials and electronic devices.
