Computer Graphics Lab Technician
Job Summary
Duties will include managing computer labs and providing students and staff with technical assistance as needed. The lab technician will be responsible for software and hardware upgrades, inventory along with providing workshops in hardware and software usage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install Macintosh System Software
- Facilitate Adobe Software Graphic Support to Faculty and Students
- Facilitate D2L Upload Support for Students
- Implement Student Graphic Workshops
Qualifications
Minimum:
- B.A. Degree in Graphic Design/Computer Graphics or B.F.A. degree in related field
- 1 year experience required
- Knowledge of Adobe CC 2015/2016/2017 Suite Software and Mac Platform
- Ability to drawing, design, and illustrate using a variety of software tools
- Ability to operate Wacom Tablets and Mac Computers and Manage Computer Lab Environment
- Speak clearly and work as part of a team
Preferred:
- Education - M.A. Degree in Digital Media and Design
- Years of experience - 2 years
- Specialized knowledge, Professional Certification(s) Adobe CC 2016/2017/2018 Suite
- Digital Camera Operation
- Software and Mac Platform
- Skills - Artistic - Drawing, Design, Digital Photography and lllustration
Working conditions
The working conditions should be identified in this section - regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors, and so forth.
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to work evenings on a regular basis and weekends on occasion
- Occasional travel to downtown labs and assist in setting up student exhibitions
